We're SUPER excited to present the incredible work of this year's artist Finn Callow. Finn's a local Wollongong artist making waves with his unique designs, and his creativity knows no bounds. He's always enjoyed KJBF over the years, and is no stranger to a boogie, so is so excited to be a part of the action this year. ⁠

Soon you'll be seeing his art all around town (including some exciting new KJBF merchandise), so read his artist bio below to get to know Finn! 🎶🎷 ⁠

Finn is a graphic illustrator/designer based on the south coast who, as a child, swore an oath to never stop having fun. His unique style and ability to fill any space in an unexpected manner allow him to bend the restraints of reality with a childlike absurdity. Finn finds joy in the uniqueness of each mark and idea, and the many paths in which the imagination can wander.⁠

MEET THE ARTIST: TOBIAS LANSDOWN⁠

We're lucky enough to be able to display the amazing work of Tobias Lansdown as our artwork for this year's festival. Here's what he has to say: ⁠

"My name is Tobias Lansdown, I grew up on the south coast. I was lucky to have a mother who encouraged me to dive head first into art and design. She is an amazing artist herself and I inherited my love of colour from her. I formed my style by journaling - when I was younger I always had a journal to fill.⁠
⁠
I lived in NZ for a while when I was 20, and when I came home I decided to study graphic design at Enmore Design Centre. Since then I've been doing odd jobs while trying to snowboard as much as possible. ⁠
⁠
As for my art, I never went to art school or anything, but I love it nonetheless. I've been a part of a few shows but I mostly do it because art keeps me grounded and motivated. I love to experiment with it - for example, today I went for a dive off the rock shelf at Austinmer. I picked up a few flat rocks to paint on. I'm not sure if it will be a good idea but it's been fun...⁠

I am very happy to be a part of the Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival and feel very grateful that they have allowed me to showcase some of my works for this year's festival :)"
